CERTIFICATION SPECIALIST – JOHANNESBURG – R Dependant on experience

We are currently recruiting for a CERTIFICATION SPECIALIST for a National Catering Supply Company to be based in Johannesburg.

• Ensure compliance with regards to all imported and exported products.
• Reviewing all imported and exported products to identify potential compliance requirements and ensure adherence to applicable regulations.
• Maintaining detailed database, records of product compliance data, including test reports, certifications and LOA’s.
• Overseeing product testing processes to verify compliance with relevant standards and coordinating with third-party testing labs or where necessary.
• Working closely with procurement and sales teams to communicate compliance requirements and address potential issues.
• Staying informed about changes in regulations and industry standards, and updating company compliance procedures accordingly.
• Providing training to employees on product compliance procedures and relevant regulations.

Requirements:

• Relevant engineering, technical knowledge and experience.
• Strong knowledge of the NRCS Act and regulations.
• Knowledge of certification requirements for the export of product. (SGS, Bureau Veritas)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literate and strong report writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Connections within the NRCS will be an advantage.
