HOTEL MAINTENANCE MANAGER – PRETORIA – R30000
Currently recruiting for an HOTEL MAINTENANCE MANAGER to be based in Pretoria.
Reporting to the General Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for managing the on- site operations for the Maintenance Department. Functions include the establishment and maintaining of a preventative maintenance strategy, as per the company requirements, Health and Safety functions and plant and machinery areas as assigned under the Act.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Preferred minimum of a N6 diploma in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering and/or relevant trade in air-conditioning and/or refrigeration and/or Electrical.
- At least 10 years’ experience in a senior technical position.
- Previous experience in the 3/4 star hospitality industry an advantage.
- At least 8 years’ experience in the field of electrical installation and maintenance or air conditioning and refrigeration.
- Experience in gas installations, regulations and maintenance an advantage.
- Experience in inverter and battery installations, regulations and maintenance an advantage
- Fluent in English
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office.
- Strong Management skills to ensure smooth and uninterrupted running of the department and work force.
- Guest relations skills imperative.
- All round skills in building / plant maintenance, tiling, plumbing, water pumps, carpentry and gardens.
- Hands on management style is required.
- Ability and willingness to work shifts and overtime when required.
- A motivated self-starter who works independently.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication.
- Sober habits.
- Problem solving skills.
- Must be able to perform under pressure.
- Must have a well-developed knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
