FOOD AND BEVERAGE MANAGER – SANDTON – R50000

Our client is seeking a Food and Beverage manager in Sandton with at least three years in a similar role. The position is for a large Hotel with a busy Banqueting department.

Key responsibilities:

Staff management: hiring, training, and supervising staff, ensuring high levels of service and performance.

Menu development: collaborating with chefs to create and update menus, considering customer preferences and seasonal availability.

Budgeting and financial management: monitoring costs, managing budgets, and maximizing profitability while maintaining quality.

Inventory control: managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimising waste.

Customer service: ensuring a high standard of service and addressing any guest complaints or feedback.

Marketing and promotions: developing promotional strategies to attract customers and increase sales.

Compliance: ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Requirements and skills:

Grade 12 and relevant qualifications.

Three years’ experience in a similar role.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Financial acumen and budgeting experience.

Knowledge of Food and Beverage trends.

Problem solving and decision making abilities.

Customer service orientation.
